Insideout-architects is a small practice that does not presume bigness. We are mostly interested in the seam between inside and outside, whether spatially/ physically, or socially and professionally. This means working both from the inside out and from the outside in, as a dynamic creative process. Our practice attempts to unravel the strict boundaries of the architectural practice that are too often distinct from “sister” practices such as- planning, urban design, landscape design, interior and lighting design, engineering, sustainable planning, preservation, arts& crafts, art, and more. We find it important to experience different scales and programs, while enriching our work by engagement in the academic field, researching and teaching (in the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology and in Bezalel Art & Design Academy), and participating in workshops and competitions.

A pro-active approach in our own community, as well as in various NGO organizations, brings our design closer to everyday life and to basic human needs. Several years of work and study in the Netherlands deeply influenced our approach to human-scale and ignited in us a strong passion for innovative design.

Our studio works holistically: from the initial idea sketch (or model), through the design of all exteriors and interiors, and down to the smallest details. Direct and constant contact with the workers on site is a crucial part of our work, contributing to our professional knowledge, and providing the key to a fruitful relationship, that guarantees an execution standard required to realize our design.
